The Redlands Airport Association hosted its ninth annual Stuff a Plane to drive on Saturday, Dec. 3. The toys donated will go to the Salvation Army, which is in its second year working with the association to support its Toys for Tots program.
Toys and food will be given to families who have registered in advance.
With COVID, some other donors, Rialto ELKS and Rialto Rotary Club were also active in past toy drives and had been saving their toys for three years, and the association picked up half a trailer load for donations, too. Best Choice Products, which manufactures magnetic race tracks, donated many boxes for the event.
Kids 8 to 18 had an opportunity to use flight simulators in the Redlands area in partnership with the Experimental Aircraft Association chapter 845 sponsored the Young Eagles flights with the pilot’s supervision.
