Around 3:45 reports came in about a brush fire off the 210 freeway in Highland.
At first reports had three homes in danger but crews made a fast push and made sure the homes and residents where all safe. As a precaution they did go door to door to ask residents to come out as they went through there backyards to get to the fire in the drainage ditch from the freeway.
Resident Zina Smith said" The fire burnt my brand new trampoline! Theres always fires behind my house, and its from the homeless. After they cut down all the trees they came back and make fires when they cook."
The fire was contained to ¼ of an acre with five engines and 18 personnel with a prevention investigation looking for the cause accruing to Engineer Mota of the Highland CalFire
