A Long-Standing Tradition.
Our Apple Butter Festival is a tribute to a 16th-century European Harvest tradition. Farmers would come together at the end of their harvest season and combine the last of their produce for jamming to preserve their fruit for the winter.
It was a way of celebrating the change of seasons, saying goodbye to Autumn, and welcoming winter. There was much music, dance, and feasting to be had!
We want to celebrate our end of harvest by stoking the fires under our 100-year-old copper pot and cooking down our season’s apples and sweet cider.
